Pen Y Fan loosely translates to top of the hill and stands as South Wales’s highest peak in the Bannau Brycheiniog national park at 886 metres tall. Pen Y Fan shares it’s summit area with Corn Du at 873 metres tall. These two peaks are historically known at Cadair Arthur or Arthur’s Seat.
Though this mountain may be smaller than many in North Wales, don’t be deceived. Pen Y Fan can be a tough climb and will test you more than you think. Efforts put in will be rewarded with jelly legs and gorgeous views in clear weather.
You will be joined by qualified local Mountain Leaders who will share their enthusiasm and advice with you all the way. Each stride up is worth it as you head ever higher into the mountain’s unique, mythical environment full of drama… enjoy YOUR adventure.
