On the occasion of the 10th OSCAR's Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity Walking Challenge, take part in this iconic North Wales hike - The Giants Trail! You'll be treated to stunning views of North Wales as you wander the hills and mountains and valleys between Llangollen and Corwen. Taking on over 20 miles on the full distance or 10 miles on The Little Giants Trail (suitable for those who prefer a slightly shorter distance and younger legs.
For the shorter distance, we'll arrange transport and plan to join up with the full distance challengers. Then both distances will hopefully finish the event as one, crossing the line together!
OSCAR's provides ongoing support and care for children with brain tumours and their families, raises awareness of signs and symptoms and funds research into this dreadful disease. As part of the challenge, the charity is simply asking you to try to raise at least £200 per person - then the £20,000 fundraising target for the event can be reached. We recommend you journey to the area the day before, to make the most of your challenge and to make sure you’re fresh and prepared. We recommend you stay on after too - please don't plan to drive more than an hour after the challenge. Basing yourself close to Llangollen for this event is the best place for ease of access to the start point.
Parking for the event will be confirmed closer to the time but will be based in or just outside Corwen/Llangollen. We encourage you to car share where possible.
